Aqueduct
Aqueduct is about 15-25 minutes away from downtown Boulder.
Aqueduct on Magnolia Rd.
GPS Coordinates
- Latitude: N/A
- Longitude: N/A
This field is closer than the BallBuster
field, which is also on Magnolia Rd. It is also smaller
but certainly large enough to play with pleanty of people.
The whole field is somewhat on an incline going down from
where we park. If you find a clearing through the pines you
can see Boulder and the reservoir out in the plains. There
seems to be a good amount of foliage, hills, and rocks to
hide behind. Light green areas on the downloadable topo maps
are public National Forest land. National Forest rules apply
in those areas. Dark green areas are private land so stay
off.

Yellow arrow
on the upper right-hand corner of the map points to Aqueduct's
parking area, which is 100 feet off the main road.

General directions to get to Aqueduct
- From Boulder take Canyon Blvd west into the Rockies.
- Turn into Magnolia (left turn which is south). You'll
be going up hill here. NOTE: Aqueduct is exactly 4.3 miles
from this turn (you can also find the nearest mile marker,
i.e. 4, to navigate in case you get lost and you didn't
take note of your odometer). GPS Coordinates
40N 00.331' | 105W 20.964'
- 0.2 miles before the Magnolia asphalt road turns to dirt
road, there's a curve to the left in which the field entrance
is on the right. There are no driveway markings and the
driveway is somewhat narrow...but certainly large enough
to drive through.
- Tips to locate Aqueduct: If you were to stop the car at
the entrance coming from Boulder, you'd see a road sign
200 feet in front of you that looks like a colorado license
plate (the sign has green mountains with a white sky like
some car plates). It is a wide sign and I think it says
something about forest fires. Also, if you were to miss
the entrance on the way up and you hit the dirt road, turn
around and go 0.2 miles and look on the left for a small
entrance (the entrance would be on a curve to the right
going in reverse). Furthermore, if there's cars already
in the field's parking area, you may see them from the main
road as the parking area is only 100 feet away.
